Here we go, round 3!

We are very excited to announce that we are expecting a small addition to our family next spring! Although, given my track record, I don't birth "small" children: 9.5lb and 9.3lb!

I'm 12 weeks and feeling like a pregnant mom with two other littles running around.

I was a little more prepared this time around and started prepping for morning sickness before it hit. I had meals in the freezer, baking done, some organising done, book keeping up to date, and another season of I Love Lucy ready for watching. But the week that morning sickness hit, I had a sinus infection and bronchitis. I really did almost nothing that week except for the basics. The meals in the freezer were nice except the thought of eating them made me gag. The organising didn't help my laundry get done, the book keeping kept stacking up, but we watched almost the entire season of I Love Lucy. That's something, right? Katie can hum the theme song now....

Something I wasn't prepared for this time around was mood swings! I do not remember being so moody and grumpy with the girls, but this time... watch out!  What? Are you saying I'm grumpy? Pff! How rude! Just ask Ben, he's had the brunt of my mood swings and has born it like an angel. Well, he should. I'm the one that will have to give birth in six months! Phew! See what I mean about those mood swings?

Katie is very excited and says "hi" to the baby frequently and likes to tell random people that "My mommy has a baby in her tummy!" Emma doesn't get it at all, but I'm sure she'll be jealous soon enough! I was really bad at taking pregnancy pictures with Emma so I don't have much hope for this baby. I'll try though!

So I can remember

I need to remember how my Katie girl runs in her running shoes and how she won't peddle her tricyle, but goes on behind and pushes off like a scooter.

Greenview Aviaries

Ben's parents treated all their kids to a trip to Greenview Aviaries with our families on the September long weekend. Eric and Becky met us their from Leamington and Becky's parents and niece came along too! It was a lovely day for it, with the sun peaking out, but not making it too unbearably hot.  The kids had loads of fun looking at the animals and playing on the playground. We packed a big picnic lunch and all stuffed ourselves so we could hardly move! And we still had food leftover! I didn't take many pictures of the animals, but a few of the kids.

There were a bunch of trampolines for kids to jump on.
Mom brought cake and coffee for when we got there. Yum!
 Emma LOVED the ball pit!

And like any kid, she loves the swings too!

Uncle Brian was "helping." Sure sure.. he just wanted a ride too!

Matching girls! We didn't even plan it!

Lauren will be a great babysitter. Only three more years!
Ben and Eric played a hard game of tether ball. They probably played half an hour straight!

Sleepy girl; she missed her nap.

Aylmer Fair

We went to the Aylmer fair for a bit of fun with my brother Nick and his girlfriend, Alyce. It wasn't that big of a fair, but the girls went on a ride and we watched the car derby which was my first derby too! I know I don't get out much!

Emma loved the Merry-go-round. Katie's first words were, (in a very intense voice) "I'm doin just fine, Mom. I'm doin just fine." She was hanging on for dear life!
She was all by herself on the train and so brave!

They had to use up the rest of the tickets....

Random Summer Pictures

I've been a little slack on blogging this summer (big surprise, I know). I thought I'd catch up with some pictures of life in the VMS house.
Apparently she was itching for winter.
 This girl LOVES dressup!

This was my attempt to get a picture of her with pigtails.
Emma finally started walking around furniture.
We went to the beach a few days during that scorcher week. It was so nice to cool off, but Ben sprained his neck doing a handstand in the water, so that wasn't so fun. Thankfully a few trips to the chiropractor set things straight. Get it? get it? Har har.

Caught red-handed. I thought it was a little quiet in there.
She got up, but couldn't get back down.
 Just readin'

Watching so intensely, probably Richard Scary or Pingu.
I babysat my nephew for a bunch of evenings and Katie took it upon herself to "babysit" him one night. She was just sitting there chatting with him.
